Disability Access Accommodation Request Form For ATV-Golf Cart Use

The intent of ATV/golf cart on the fairgrounds is to assist with transportation of guests with limited mobility and official fair activities. Keep in mind, the fair does provide shuttles when the fair is open. The Upper Peninsula State Fair Management Team will approve or deny all requests, with each applicant being notified of the final decision. No recreational or sightseeing usage allowed at any time. NO WARNINGS WILL BE GIVEN. If any of these rules are broken the vehicle must be removed from the fairgrounds or immobilized. Failure to do so may result in possible expulsion from the fairgrounds, towing fees, and/or loss of campsite. Board Members, Fair Management, Department Superintendents, Delta Force and Patrolling Officers will be monitoring these rules.

RULES & POLICES:

1.     Any damage caused by ATV/Golf Cart usage will be the responsibility of the driver operating the ATV/Golf Cart.

2.     All intended operators must have a valid driver’s license, and a copy needs to be provided with the request.

3.     The operator may not transport more individuals than the vehicle has manufactured seats for.

4.     Permits must be displayed on the front of the ATV or golf cart and clearly visible at all times. Approved permits will be available at the fair office after August 16th. Enclosed ATV or golf carts with tinted windows will not be permitted.

5.     ATV and golf carts must be operated at all times in a safe and orderly manner, and must no exceed a speed limit of 10 mph. Any ATV or golf cart found in violation will be required to leave the fairgrounds immediately.

6.     ATV and golf carts may only be operated on a designated route during times based on the fair involvement. Once an application is approved, a route map with times will be provided with the permit.

7.     The approved applicant must be present in the ATV or golf cart at all times while it is being operated during the designated hours of use.
