2024 UP State Fair- Fair Week Camping Application

Applying will allow you to be considered for space, it does not constitute a contractual agreement.

2024 Fair Week Camping APPLICATION

  • Pricing & General Information

    THE SUBMISSION OF THIS FORM DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A CONTRACT FOR A CAMPSITE. ADDITIONAL PAPERWORK WILL BE FORTHCOMING IF APPLICATION IS ACCEPTED. THE UPPER PENINSULA STATE FAIR DOES NOT GUARANTEE SPECIFIC CAMP SITES. CAMPING ASSIGNMENTS WILL BE MADE BASED ON FAIR INVOLVEMENT WITH PRIORITY GIVEN TO UP STATE FAIR STAFF, EXHIBITORS, SPONSORS OR VENDORS TO MAKE IT AS CONVENIENT AS POSSIBLE FOR THOSE CAMPING ON THE GROUNDS. General Fair Week Camping- $250 Exhibitor, Vendor, Staff, Leader Camping Fee- $200 Camping fee does not include entrance to the fair. Admission Passes must be purchased to allow daily entry. Campers will be responsible for supplying their own adapter for converting 30 amp to 50 amp or from 50 amp to 30 amp as well as a white-water hose. Appropriate extension cords may be necessary. Accepted Campers are permitted to enter the UP State Fairgrounds on during designated times on Saturday, August 10th and Sunday, August 11th.

  • Rules, Terms & Conditions

    Upper Peninsula State Fair Campground Rules These rules are designed to comply with the State campground rules and public health department regulations, so your cooperation in following these rules is greatly appreciated. Failure to adhere to them may result in revocation of camping privileges and forfeiture of fees. A complete list of the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality campground rules is available for review in the fair office. General Rules/Information • Showers and bathrooms are available on grounds. • Garbage must be disposed of in dumpsters. • The Upper Peninsula State Fair prohibits the discharge of gray water on the fairgrounds. Seepage pits are not allowed on the fairgrounds. Violation of the seepage pit regulation will result in immediate removal from the fairgrounds. • Campfires are not permitted. • The use of appliances may be restricted due to electrical supply. • Each unit is limited to no more than eight people, and a responsible adult must be present to supervise minors. • If you are bringing a dog, including service animals, your campsite will be assigned in our pet friendly Pocket Park. Pets must always be kept on a leash, and owners are responsible for proper disposal of waste. Campers violating this rule will be immediately evicted from their campsite. • Where electrical service is available, each unit will be limited to one extension cord. • IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE DEQ (DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY), • ALL CAMPERS MUST HAVE A 4 FT. UNOBSTRUCTED CLEARANCE AROUND THE CAMPER. • ELECTRICAL SPLITTERS ARE NOT ALLOWED • WATER SPLITTERS ARE NOT ALLOWED • ONLY ONE UNIT IS ALLOWED PER SITE, AND IT MUST NOT CROSS BOUNDARIES • The camping coordinator will assign campsites and supervise the campground area. Camping permits must be clearly visible and displayed in the front/side window of the unit, vehicle parking permits must be displayed by hanging them from the rearview mirror. • Camping fees do not include gate admission. All occupants of campers must purchase UPSF admission passes in addition to the camping fees. Passes are required to enter the fairgrounds, and campers should make sure they have admission passes for re-entry to leaving the fairgrounds. • Units are not to be parked without direction from the camping coordinator/camping staff. DO NOT UNHOOK UNITS WITHOUT APPROVAL FROM CAMPING COORDINATOR/CAMPING STAFF. Vehicles • All campers’ vehicles must have a vehicle permit hanging from the rearview mirror. The vehicle must not block the roadway/fire lane. Vehicles that are parked in campsites without a permit will be subject to towing and impound fees at the owner’s expense. Only one vehicle permit will be handed out per campsite. Extra vehicles must park in the public parking areas. • Exhibitors and vendors with vehicles with permits are allowed access to the barns between midnight and 9:00 A.M. and into the midway/vendor areas between 1:00 A.M. and 9:00 A.M. This is intended for a short duration to care for animals or clean/restock vendor stands. • GOLF CARTS/ATV’S ARE NOT PERMITTED WITHOUT AUTHORIZATION. UNAUTHORIZED GOLF CARTS/ATV’S WILL BE SUBJECT TO TOWING AND IMPOUND FEES.
